I heard somewhere that you could make the hogs drive by themselves (HT glitch), where you jump from one hog to the other, while they are parked next to each other...anyone ever hear of that??

im pretty sure you've gotta be offhost to do that, i've never been able/cared to do it, but it's doable also you can do it with banshee's i've heard but i've seen several vids on youtube that show that you can do it, it's lag, so you wont be able to do it as host

it does work.
You have to be offhost.
Explanation: The server doesn't need to send any packets to itself, that's why it has no lead and 0 ping. As client, you need to send packets. So as client, you can trick the game into thinking your in both hogs at the same time if you switch quick enough. Its basically lag so it cant (well maybe it can, i haven't tried it) be done as host.

No it's not John..I'm still trying to get this BULLSHIT to work. Once, I actually moved the hog just so slightly, so it is possible. But I cannot for the life of me, duplicate the video.

Ok, let me explain how this works. It needs to be off host (can be done on FV dedis). From my experience there are two ways of online gaming. I'll give 2 references: Halo and Borderlands.
In Borderlands multiplayer to avoid glitching, warp, lead and etc it does what I call a "clean" gameplay. Meaning no conflictions between host and client. BUT by doing so, say if I moved my mouse to the left, then there would be a response time before my screen moved (I sent info [packets] to the host telling them that my character's crosshair moved then relaying them back to me). This stops warp/lead as there is less packet corruption and less difference between host and client (difference is what I call it => say in Halo your off host and do cheat_all_vehicles and they all spawn around you, now the host's Halo knows they aren't there and what the host says goes, as per se, you can see the spawned vehicles but as you try to interact with them, the host says "they aint there dude" so you "warp" through them, as your game client tries to adjust to what the game host says is in the game). The main problem with the Borderland way of gaming is the big ping servers. I tried playing on some US servers (Borderlands doesn't show ping >_>) and I got about a 1.2-2.4 sec mouse/movement delay. Think of this => I run forward and tell my mouse to zoom and turn to the right, after 2 sec that happens. It makes gameplay on high ping servers horrid..
Halo style online: lead, lag and warp exist, as the client and host interract. Due to Halos bad netcoding (and relatively poor coding of the FV dedis [they don't process D3D as well as they should]). The MAIN thing in Halo you need to remember is... YOUR NOT WHERE YOU THINK YOU ARE => you are infact behind where you think you are. As if you told your character to move forward, then you move forward on your screen, that would be accurate if it was 0 ping as host, but off host, your behind where you are as the packets telling the server what your doing take time to be received and processed then sent back. So you need to think where you are RELATIVELY to the server. How warp happens as you move is that your "screen" thinks your ahead of where you are on the server, and as you receive the info telling you your XXX metres behind where you are on your screen, then you "warp" back to there as your client tries to re-adjust to whats on the actual game server.
I REALLY HOPE THAT MADE SENSE... It did to me..
Remember your client (your screen) is always showing you "wrong" info as your not actually there on the server (which is absolute).
I've seen this hog driving before. Its an error between the host / client. Your client still thinks your in the hog but the host/server says "you aint bro", so your screen shows the hog driverless which is correct on the server's game, but you still have control over it in your client screen. The hog can move but not interact with anything, as if you hit someone while controlling the hog, it just goes through as its "not really there" on the hosts game.
Its due to packet corruption. You CAN'T have a driverless hog which is REALLY in the host's game. But it can appear to you as a client.
If you can't understand what I mean, I can tone it down a bit.

I know this is an old thread but WOW! The person that made the video used to be one of my good old friends from back in the day when I used to pub in sniper no shields servers. delta sprtn. XD! Anyway, I've done this a couple years ago, I've done it with banshees before, you can even do it with the turrets. I'm pretty sure you can do it with anything. Tanks too.

Once I was going to QP, but I lagged into the turret. Then I could shoot and drive! It was fucking AWESOME.
