Ok here's the deal, I got a desktop, and a wireless laptop...
The cable modem has a ethernet cable that connects to a wireless router, and then another ethernet wire coming out of the router that connects to the desktop. The laptop is wireless and runs through the wireless router.. Both the desktop and the laptop work fine and I can access the internet on both computers no problems.
I can host HT on either the lappy or the desktop, and can enter the server either way..The problem is that no one else can get into my server but me. The server has no ping next to it, and will say something like 0/9 players.
I know many of you have had this problem, so help please.

I suggest putting both routers into bridging mode , same goes for Johnmusic as you don't need to do all the port forwarding crap.

I suggest putting both routers into bridging mode , same goes for Johnmusic as you don't need to do all the port forwarding crap. I suppose I could go through the usual routine of Googling it, but if there is a simple and quick way to do this, let me know. I am completely clueless to any of this lol since before all I had was a direct connection into my desktop. Nice to have a wireless lappy, but when it comes to Halo, I am realizing it's becoming a pain.

In your web browser go: http://192.168.1.1/ Then enter router username + password. Default is admin for both user and pass There should be an advanced setup or the like there go there and edit your current modem config Then you should be prompted with a box: Enable Bridge Service Check it Should be your end result (or something like it depending on the router Then in windows you need to open up connections and make a new one for a broadband connection and enter your username + pass that your ISP gave you.

Don't host on your lappy if you want a halfdecent server. (Unless it's a semi-gaming lappy.)
Never ever ever ever ever host on wireless I will QQrage.
